Richmond Marina and Shoreline

Description:  We should be at the site by 9:30 in the morning and ride out at 10.  This is one of the most overlooking scenic routes in the bay area.  The route offers breathtaking scenes.  Plenty of flowers on the way!  Good time for photographing!

Distance:  16.84 miles out and back to the original destination.

Location:  Drive and exit at Central Ave from I-80.  Park at the end of Rydin Road near the Costco.  Please look for illustration at the bottom of this page.

What we expect from this ride?:  We will lunch at one of the old town's charming restaurants at the end of destination.

What to see:  Meeker Slough, Richmond Vicent Park, Richmond Marina, Point Richmond, San Francisco Skyline, Old Ford Plant, Boiler House, Old Town Richmond, Marina Neighborhood and more . . .  You will be surprised!

Type of Bike:  Any

Ride Classification:  Leisurely to Touring (up to 13 mph)

Climb Rate:  Gentle, relatively flat, total ascent is approximately 500 feet at only no hill.

Ride Leader:  Nancy Bennett; NancyBen at comcast.net  Please confirm by email in several days in advance.  No one left behind.  Rain cancels.

What to bring:  Spare tubes, patch kit, tire irons, pump/CO2 inflators, multi-tool, water bottle, identification/money/medical card and phone.

Safety:  Wearing helmet is mandatory.
