About the Park:  This trail has often been proclaimed as the best beginner single track ride in the Bay Area. This route is almost completely single track and requires almost no advanced climbing stamina or technical skills. While there are a number of technical spots along this ride that would pose difficulty to beginners, almost all of them are constrained to the first quarter of the ride, and then things get even easier.

State Park Requirement:  China Camp requires all riders to have either an annual or day pass to use the trails. For those who want to buy a day pass, stop at kiosk at entrance to campground on the way to Miwok Meadows. For those who want to buy an annual pass, go to Trail Pass.

Ride Leader:  Nancy Cayton, nancycayton@yahoo.com or text to 925 951 0629  RSVP by one day before the event.

Weather Condition:  Extreme temperatures or poor weather conditions may modify the route at the leader's discretion. Rain cancels.

Safety:  Wearing helmet is mandatory for all club group rides.

What to bring:  Spare tubes, patch kit, tire irons, pump/CO2 inflators, multi-tool, water hydration system/water bottles, identification/money/medical card and phone.

Before the Ride Maintenance:  Check the wheels (quick-release skewers are tightened correctly), inspect the tires for air pressure (with a floor pump's meter, not your thumb), test the brakes, lube the chain, and check the shifting.
